Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information StreetRobin collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We've written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

Information you give us

The only personal information this website asks for comes from our two forms. We don't require an account and we don't ask you to register to browse.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message.
  • Business / inventory form: your company name, your name, email address, an optional phone number, the type and rough quantity of inventory, your message, and a file you upload describing the inventory (CSV, Excel, or PDF).

Information collected automatically

We record your IP address briefly when you submit a form, purely to rate-limit submissions and block automated spam. It is used at the moment of submission and is not saved to our database alongside your enquiry.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as the pages requested and the time of the request), as any web host does, for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not send marketing email to people who have only submitted an enquiry, and we don't use the details you send us through a form to target advertising at you.

Analytics and measurement

We use website analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device they're on. This tells us which products and pages are useful; it isn't used to build a profile of you as an individual, and we don't try to identify you from it.

Analytics data is separate from anything you send us through a form. Submitting an enquiry doesn't link your name or email to your browsing history.

Cookies and browser storage

If you add something to your cart, we store a single shopping-cart identifier in your browser's local storage so your cart survives a page reload. It contains no personal information, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

Analytics tools may set a cookie or store a similar identifier in your browser to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. You can block or clear these through your browser settings, and the site will keep working normally.

Our checkout is operated by Shopify, which sets its own cookies necessary to process an order. Those are governed by Shopify's own privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a quote or proposal.
  • To evaluate inventory you've offered us, including the file you upload.
  • To keep a record of business enquiries so our team can follow up.
  • To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.

Payments and orders

Purchases are completed on Shopify's hosted checkout, not on this website. Your payment card details are handled by Shopify and its payment processors and are never sent to, seen by, or stored on this website. Order and customer records created at checkout are held in our Shopify account and governed by Shopify's privacy policy in addition to this one.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your information. We do use a small number of service providers to actually run the site, and your information passes through them only for the purposes above:

  • Shopify — product catalog, cart, and hosted checkout.
  • Supabase — the database and private file storage where form submissions and uploaded inventory files are kept (hosted in the United States).
  • Resend — sends the notification email that alerts our team to your enquiry.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.

How long we keep it

We keep business enquiries and uploaded inventory files for as long as we may need them for the relationship they relate to, and to keep normal business records. If you'd like your enquiry and any file you sent deleted sooner, email us and we'll remove them.

How we protect it

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Our database is configured so that only our own server can read or write enquiry records — they are not reachable from a browser. Uploaded inventory files are stored in a private, non-public bucket. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the information involved.

Your choices

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information you submitted, correct it, or delete it. Email us at the address below and tell us what you'd like. We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, and we'll honour those where they apply.

Children

This website is intended for business and general consumer use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information — for example if we start working with a new service provider — we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
